Kriegsmarine Luxury Saber hangers (Säbelstander)

The saber was secured on leather slings, the shorter of which was 40 to 46 cm in length and attached to the top ring of the scabbard, while the longer was a 80 to 86 cm sling hooked onto the ring at the lower end. The slings had gilt hooks at the ends, made of brass or aluminum, which could be decorated or plain. The shorter sling had a chain and a hook to secure the saber closer to the body.  Very fine condition.
