Worn by ship gunnery fire control personnel. It was made in blue-grey or green canvas cloth, with oval plastic earphones mounted on ear-flaps, that had 5 snap buttons and could be turned up and fastened at the top. The cloth chinstrap, which was secured with a leather strap with 4 snap buttons and a metal ring, had a throat microphone under the lower right side of the face. Dated 1941.
