Luftwaffe ‘LKp.N.101’ Summer Mesh Flight Helmet

LKp.N.101 Summer Flight Helmet, second model, for oxygen masks with two or three fastening points. Chocolate brown leather and brown cotton mesh construction flight helmet with steel fittings. The interior of the helmet is partially lined in white sheep wool and lined with leather at the forehead, the cap is size ’62’ marked. The cap shows some normal period wear and use. Complete with integral communications equipment and original short type wire and plug. Everything is nicely marked and the cap is complete with label and maker marked with manufacturer’s code ‘bxo’ which is indicating production by the ‘Deutsche Telefonwerke u. Kabelindustrie A.G.’ from Berlin. Some extra stamps on the forehead leather band (’50’, ‘DO7’ and ‘X’). Nice original example in overall good condition.
