According to the Spanish military tradition, there was always a disparity between the medals granted to the troops and those awarded to the officers, so this model was made in in silver brass with black enamels, manufactured by Jewelry Company Celada of Madrid, made in three pieces. The obverse illustrating the Nationalist Eagle of Spain, with an Iron Cross bearing a swastika, above the Falange symbol, the eagle backed by a laurel wreath and surmounted by the Franco crown, reverse illustrating the Novgorod’s Kremlin surrounded by a wreath of chains and inscribed “RUSIA 1941” below. This company produced approximately 600 units.
