La Hitler-Jugend o Juventudes Hitlerianas, sección juvenil del partido nacionalsocialista es, sin duda, una de las organizaciones más conocidas y estudiadas dentro del océano bibliográfico que existe sobre la Segunda Guerra Mundial en general y sobre el nazismo en particular. Sin embargo, las actividades llevadas a cabo por los militantes de dicha organización fuera de las fronteras del Tercer Reich, e incluso la existencia de grupos locales de la Hitler-Jugend en países de los cinco continentes, resultan temas desconocidos tanto para el gran público como para muchos especialistas en la materia. En el caso español, dentro de la numerosa colonia germana afincada en nuestro país, se generó una importante célula política que tuvo en las secciones masculinas y femeninas de las Juventudes Hitlerianas, vinculadas a los colegios alemanes presentes en las principales ciudades de España, la cara más amable y colorida del entramado nazi en los primeros años de la España de Franco, después de vivir en la clandestinidad durante los años de la Segunda República. Más de un millar de jóvenes alemanes de ambos sexos residentes en toda nuestra geografía sirvieron en las filas de la Hitler-Jugend y realizaron actividades conjuntas con los chicos y chicas de las organizaciones juveniles españolas, como se estudia en esta obra.

The Hitler Youth, the youth wing of the National Socialist Party, is undoubtedly one of the best-known and most studied organizations within the vast body of literature on World War II in general and Nazism in particular. However, the activities carried out by members of this organization outside the borders of the Third Reich, and even the existence of local Hitler Youth groups in countries across five continents, remain unknown to both the general public and many specialists in the field. In the case of Spain, within the large German community settled in our country, a significant political cell emerged that, through the male and female sections of the Hitler Youth, linked to the German schools present in Spain’s major cities, presented the friendliest and most colorful face of the Nazi network in the early years of Franco’s Spain, after living underground during the years of the Second Republic. More than a thousand young Germans of both sexes residing throughout the country served in the ranks of the Hitler Youth and carried out joint activities with the boys and girls of Spanish youth organizations, as examined in this work.
